Press a key. Say what you want.

Your computer does it, step by step, in front of you. Mac and Windows.

Free alpha · Mac: Apple Silicon and Intel, notarized by Apple (22 MB) · Windows 10/11, x64 (70 MB)

Three minutes on a real Mac. Every answer is live; private chats and files are blacked out.

The alpha

Up in a minute.

Mac: open the .dmg, drag Spot to Applications, open it.Windows: unzip the folder, run spot-ui.exe. It's not signed yet, so on the blue SmartScreen box click More info → Run anyway.
Press Ctrl+Shift+Space anywhere.Type what you want. Every step shows as it happens.
It uses the AI you already have. The Claude Code or Codex app, logged in on your Mac, or an OpenRouter key.
To act on your computer it uses aos.Open source. Mail, calendar and WhatsApp go through apl.
Settings → This Computer shows what Spot can use.On Mac, allow Accessibility and Screen Recording once; it remembers.
Private by design

Nothing is captured until you press the key. No background screen recording. The tools run on your computer, and the AI is the one you already log in to.

To learn what to build next, Spot counts how it is used: which kind of request (quick command or AI), which tools ran, whether it worked and how long it took, plus app version and OS. Never what you type, what's on screen, your files, mail or messages. No IP address, no cookies. Turn it off in Settings → Privacy. This site counts page views and downloads the same way.

Still rough (being fixed next)
  • nextMail and GitHub answers take 40–60 seconds.
  • nextWindows build is not code-signed yet (SmartScreen warns once).
  • nextEmail, timers and opening apps should run without the AI.
